Embark on a profound journey with our "Spiritual Trek to Mount Kailash & Manasarovar" package, beginning with your arrival in Lucknow. From there, we'll drive to Nepalgunj, a gateway to the mystical Himalayas. A short flight takes us to Simikot, where the adventure truly begins. Travelling through rugged terrain, we reach Purang, a historic town near the shores of Lake Manasarovar. Here, amidst breathtaking landscapes, you'll experience a spiritual awakening with a drive to Darchen, followed by a visit to Yama Dwar, the gateway to the revered Mount Kailash. Upon your arrival at Lucknow airport, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted by our representative. After completing your customs formalities, you will embark on a scenic drive to Nepalgunj, covering a distance of approximately 190 kilometers, which takes around 6 hours. The journey offers picturesque views and a chance to relax and enjoy the landscapes. Once you arrive in Nepalgunj, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Here, you can unwind and settle in after the day's travel. An overnight stay at the hotel in Nepalgunj will ensure you are well-rested and ready for the next leg of your journey.
Early in the morning, board a scenic flight to Simikot, a picturesque town nestled in the remote Himalayan region of Nepal. This journey offers breathtaking aerial views of the majestic mountains and lush landscapes below. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can relax and acclimatize to the altitude. Simikot, provides a tranquil setting ideal for adjusting to the thinner mountain air. Take this time to unwind, enjoy the serene surroundings, and prepare yourself physically and mentally for the adventures that lie ahead on your journey through this rugged and spiritually enriching terrain.
After breakfast, embark on an exhilarating helicopter ride to Hilsa, a journey lasting approximately 20 minutes. Due to the 15 kg weight limit per person, please ensure your luggage meets the requirements. Upon arrival in Hilsa, you will wait for the remaining group members, as everyone must cross into Tibet together due to the group visa policy. Once the group is assembled, proceed with the immigration and customs formalities on both the Nepal and China sides. Following the completion of these procedures, continue the drive to Purang, which is approximately 30 kilometers and takes around an hour. Along the way, you will pass through two checkpoints, where security checks may take up to an hour each. Upon reaching Purang, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in, where you can relax and settle in. Overnight in Purang, where you can rest and prepare for the next day's adventures.
After breakfast, drive to Rakshas Tal (70 km, approximately 1.5 hours), passing through one checkpoint along the way. Upon arrival at Rakshas Tal, you'll be greeted with views of Gurla Mandhata Parvat and your first glimpse of the south face of Mt. Kailash, as well as Manasarovar Lake. Continue for another 25 km to reach Manasarovar, where the remainder of the day is free for spiritual activities such as pooja, havan worship, meditation, and holy bathing. Overnight accommodations will be at a lodge situated on the shores of Lake Manasarovar.
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic one-hour drive to Darchen, the bustling base camp situated at the foot of the sacred Mount Kailash. Upon arrival, the remainder of the day is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing you to adjust to the altitude and prepare for the upcoming circumambulation (Parikrama) around Mount Kailash. Take this opportunity to explore Darchen, interact with fellow pilgrims, and mentally and physically ready yourself for the spiritual journey ahead. Overnight accommodation at a comfortable hotel in Darchen ensures you are well-rested and energized for the significant pilgrimage to Mount Kailash the following day.
After breakfast, embark on a short drive of approximately 10 kilometers to Tarboche, also known as Yama Dwar, the auspicious starting point of the sacred Parikrama (Kora) around Mount Kailash. From Tarboche, begin the 12-kilometer trek to Diraphuk, which typically takes 6 to 7 hours. As you traverse the west face of the revered Mount Kailash, marvel at its majestic and awe-inspiring presence. The journey, though challenging, is deeply rewarding, offering breathtaking views and a profound sense of spirituality. Upon arrival in Diraphuk, you will be transferred to a guest house for an overnight stay, providing a much-needed rest after the day's strenuous trek. Here, you can relax and prepare for the next phase of your pilgrimage.
The challenging day of the Parikrama (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash begins with a strenuous trek lasting approximately 8 to 10 hours. The highlight of the day is reaching the Dolma La pass at an elevation of 5600 meters, renowned as the most demanding part of the pilgrimage. Pilgrims offer brief prayers at this sacred site before descending towards Gaurikund. The trail continues to Zuthulphuk, where a guest house awaits for an overnight stay. This leg of the journey is marked by rugged paths, breathtaking vistas, and a profound sense of spiritual fulfillment as pilgrims immerse themselves in the profound beauty and challenges of the journey around the revered Mount Kailash.
After breakfast, we will embark on an 8-kilometer trek, concluding the final segment of our Parikrama. This trek brings us to the point where our jeeps will be waiting to drive us back to Darchen, marking the end of our sacred circumambulation around Mount Kailash. Following a well-deserved lunch in Darchen, we will drive to Purang via the Manasarovarparikrama (circuit), offering us another opportunity to absorb the serene beauty of Lake Manasarovar. Upon arrival in Purang, we will transfer to a guest house for an overnight stay, providing a comfortable rest after the day's activities.
After breakfast, we will embark on an early morning drive to the Nepal border. Upon arrival, we will board a helicopter for a scenic flight to Simikot, a journey that promises breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan landscapes. After landing in Simikot, we will proceed with a connecting flight to Nepalgunj. The day’s travels will offer a mix of adventure and serenity, as we transition from the heights of the mountains to the plains of Nepalgunj. Once we arrive in Nepalgunj, we will transfer to our hotel for check-in. The evening will be free for relaxation and unwinding after a day of extensive travel. Overnight stay will be at a hotel in Nepalgunj, preparing us for the next leg of our journey.
After breakfast, we will begin our departure journey with a transfer from the hotel in Nepalgunj to Lucknow airport. The drive offers one last opportunity to take in the diverse landscapes that characterize the region. Along the way, we will pass through bustling towns and serene countryside, reflecting on the enriching experiences of our journey. Upon arrival at Lucknow airport, we will proceed with check-in formalities, ensuring all travel documents and belongings are in order for the onward journey. This transfer marks the conclusion of our trip, leaving us with cherished memories of our adventures and the spiritual sojourn we've undertaken.
